Knowledge graph
A knowledge graph 鈥 also known as a semantic network 鈥 is a network of entities (such as objects, events or concepts), that are linked via their relationships to one another.聽
For example, if you take a concept such as 鈥榩hilosophy鈥, a knowledge graph could link this to people, such as 鈥橮lato鈥 and 鈥橝ristotle鈥, which would in turn link to 鈥橝ncient Greece鈥.聽
These semantic networks are used to enrich online experiences in many ways 潭潭 from providing contextual search results to predicting areas of interest.聽
A Google search is a perfect example of a knowledge graph in action. If you search for 鈥橳he Beatles鈥 on Google, you will be presented with a range of information related to the Beatles, such as biographical information, top songs, related artists and different streaming services that you can listen to them on.
